Hello World! as my profile says, my name is Cynthia and this is my blog. I'll rather say my little corner in the world where I interact from and with beautiful people like you on matters that resonate with me, you and us bordering on Lifestyle, Health and Arts.
 

On lifestyle, we'll be sharing stories, provoking thoughts, discussing issues, bringing to the table and to light; the whispers in our neighborhood, the joy of our everyday living, the trials of getting past each day, the uncertainties of our tomorrow, the lavishness of our tall dreams. In a nutshell, the stark realities of our existences.

A little about me, I'm a Public Health Practitioner by profession and I couldn't use any better platform to reach out to others in the best ways I can on the safeguard of their health and life. We'll be exposed and enlightened here on useful facts, tips and nuggets as regards healthy living.


Art, Oh Art, what is the beauty of life without Art! It is the expression of our innermost cores in the ways favorite to us. Stories, poetry, photography, drawings that depict how we feel everyday will be brandished in this segment.

Summarily, we're gonna tell tales of what happens in that space about and around us each day. Stay tuned guys! I'm breathlessly excited, leggo!!!

 I sit in the bus, staring through the hazy window, on a journey from Awka (where I had just concluded my National Youth Service Corps) to the capital city of the Eastern Heartland, Owerri. The whooshing sound made as we drive through houses and trees that seem to be apparently moving sweeps a dense feeling of nostalgia and mixed emotions all over me.  I journey to its far depths in my head and what fills my thoughts next is a picture of a nine year old me in primary four, who is apprehensive about writing First school leaving and Common entrance examinations because I had stumbled upon a "Tabansi Christian Religious Knowledge book 6" written in tiny, congested fonts, with uncoloured pictures of old people and lots of dates. The exams suddenly feel like a living nightmare.     T ORN  (To lose some kind of unity or coherence.) The night had an eerie feeling, the fearful silence was so loud, it was deafening and intensely disturbing. I was huddled up with mama in the only corner of our thatched mud that the roof hadn't tore open. Mama was shaking vigorously with the mean cold slicing through every part of her, the hairs on her body were all standing. I was cold too but I had to be strong for mama, I was all she had. She was in her mid forties but looked well over sixty. She knew nothing but suffering and I shared generously in it. I could feel her slipping away, even though she desperately struggled to hold on, clutching my palms so tight, I thought they would break. I didn't mind at all as long as she still stayed with me.
